• Since the studio is warm, be sure not to overdress. A t-shirt or tank top and shorts are recommended.

• Vinyasa style yoga creates heat in the body through the Ujjayi breath and the bandhas. Therefore, while it is preferable not to drink water (which cools the body) during your practice, it is recommended that you hydrate during your practice according to your own needs.

• It is not recommended that you eat before practice. You may have a light snack a couple of hours before, but it is best for the body to not be digesting while you are practicing, as this can make certain postures uncomfortable.

• If you are new to our studio and/or to Vinyasa style yoga, please read the class descriptions before coming to your first class. Be sure that the class you have chosen to attend is appropriate for your level of practice. If you are unsure of the class that is best for you, please ask us!

• Try to arrive a few minutes early to calm and centre yourself.

• Please turn your cellular phone off before class.

• Use quiet voices in the lobby and please observe silence in the studio.

• Please do not wear perfume or cologne in class. The warm atmosphere in the room can intensify the scent.

• Remember to listen to your body. It is better to allow the body to open slowly than to push yourself too far, too quickly. Try to be content with where you are and patient with your practice.

• If you need to leave before the end of the class, please do so before Savasana.
